Valentines Day…

February 14th 2020

Now any of you who know me, know that I’m probably the most unromantic guy out there…well the reality is that the odds of me changing are not good…just saying.

💕 My best friend and the love of my life! 💕

But here is what I do know, I have been lucky enough to spend the last quarter century with my best friend. Oh there are days I’m sure that Miss Laurie would tell you that I’m not the easiest person to live with, then we compacted our lives into 320 square feet for the last three years…it becomes obvious that she either is a candidate for sainthood or is just as crazy as I am. Just think for a minute, how you would react to your partner coming home one day and saying they just want to run away…most would be scared and nervous to give up everything they hold on to as security, let alone head down the road in a twenty year old coach with no real end destination.

We have all seen Miss Laurie’s passion for photography. She has the ability to see the whole picture the true composition of what is there to be captured. Her love of trying to capture the perfect shot of a bird or a bunny…I have seen her sit at the ready for an hour or more to try to capture a hummingbird in flight. Her photos of our travels say in a few photos what I would struggle to put into a few hundred words…

We are living life to its fullest, as we travel, at our pace, we are seeing so many sights, enjoying so many different experiences, meeting some amazing people, and doing some pretty exciting things. We have meet many amazing people to share our lives, but we still equally enjoy our time together on a daily basis.

Miss Laurie is our official collector, she collects pretty much everything, from sea shells on the beaches in Florida, to sea glass on every shore line we find, to rocks from Newfoundland or the beaches of Lake Huron, and let’s not forget the quartz from the Arizona desert or the forbidden pieces of petrified wood from a national park…safe to say she is definitely our official collector.

And many have seen some of Miss Laurie’s talents, whether it is playing pickle ball against team Savino, or kayaking with the alligators in the swamps of Florida, painting some collected rocks with Susan, or picking up water colour pointers from Irena. Miss Laurie tackles every thing with a passion not possessed by most, she is her own toughest critic but is never afraid to try…just one more reason she is the love of my life…💕

So in closing this blog, I just have to say, Miss Laurie thank you for the last quarter century, and I’m looking so forward to the next quarter century as long as it’s with you…Happy Valentines to my best friend and the love of my life…I love you so much and thanks for this great adventure…💘
